Gary learned early in his career it's one of the key qualities that matter in life, and in business.
After graduating magna cum laude from the Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD), he became the youngest art director with Lord Sullivan & Yoder. He moved to Fahlgren Inc. as associate creative director, and was promoted to broadcast producer, and creative director. He also was creative director with a large pharmaceutical agency.
With over 30 years experience in advertising, marketing and design, Gary is Smith Creative's Managing Partner. Gary specializes in marketing strategy, advertising design and broadcast production with a focus in business marketing. He has extensive experience formulating strategies, positions and campaigns for brands like McDonald's, Kroger, Diebold, Ohio Farm Bureau, GE Plastics, West Virginia Lottery, West Virginia Tourism and major accounts in banking, manufacturing, travel and retail.
Gary also taught Advertising, Portfolio and related subjects at CCAD and Ohio University.
Gary built his career on a unique set of skills and abilities, and his interests are eclectic. In spare moments you can find him either on a golf course, in the gym, or crashing model airplanes.
